Sumatran Tiger Conservation Organizations

Balkan lynx - wild cat groups species list

Sumatran tiger conservation groups are actively working to protect this critically endangered subspecies through a range of efforts focused on habitat preservation, anti-poaching measures, and community engagement, including collaborating with local governments and communities to secure key tiger habitats.  They also deploy ranger patrols to combat poaching, dismantle snares, and monitor illegal logging.

Some conservation initiatives are reducing human-tiger conflict by building tiger-proof livestock enclosures and promoting sustainable livelihoods for forest-edge communities.

These groups aim to address the root causes of tiger decline—deforestation, poaching, and habitat fragmentation- and promote coexistence between humans and tigers to ensure the species’ survival.
