Worldwide conservation of cheetahs and their ecosystem.
The Cheetah Conservation Fund (CCF)was founded in 1990 by Dr. Laurie Marker. As Namibia has the largest and healthiest population of cheetahs left in the world, CCF's International Research and Education Centre is based in Namibia, near Otjiwarongo. CCF works to:
•create and manage long-term conservation strategies for the cheetah throughout their range
•develop and implement better livestock management practices, eliminating the need for ranchers to kill so many cheetah
•conduct conservation education programs for local villagers, ranchers and school children
•continue intensive scientific research in cheetah genetics, biology and species survival
National Geographic Education is responsible for creating educational programs and resources for schools, out-of-school settings, and the home (familiies, informal eduators, kids,students and teachers.

National Geographic's Big Cat's Initiative includes the "Cause an Uproar" educational campaign to raise awareness on the plight of wild cats; big cats facts database; kids program.
International conservation organization for youth from the Jane Goodall Institute. "On the Edge: Hope for Animals and their World" endgangered species campaign.
The group's "Campaign for Endangered Species and Biodiversity" includes education projects and exercises for children that can be done at home.
