Indochinese leopards have dark, rusty-red fur with small rosettes. All-black Indochinese leopards have been found south of the Kra Isthmus, a narrow part of the Malay Peninsula in Thailand.
Indochinese leopard prey includes boar, mouse-deer, and macaque, a type of monkey.
The Indochinese leopard, with a total population estimated at less than 1000, faces many conservation issues. These include the loss of its natural habitat and prey, as well as the persistent threats of poaching and illegal trade. The urgency of These issues cannot be overstated.
